Normally a mother will carry a baby almost 9 months and 10 days but seldom, a period of pregnancy can reach about 10 to 12 months which called as “bunting kerbau”.
3.1 “POTONG TALI PUSAT”
After baby has delivered, the midwife will celebrate with the summons and the umbilical cord will be cut with “sembilu buluh”. The rest of umbilical cord will mixed with the turmeric and “kapur” so that it can wrap with “daun sirih” on blocks of fire.
3.2 “QAMAT/AZAN”
Normally, “azan’ will be recited for baby boys meanwhile “iqamah” will be recited for baby girls. Actually, this is not a ritual but it more to the Islamic customary.

3.3 “MEMBELAH MULUT”
The ceremony will start with recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Al-Ikhlas. It followed by the feed a piece of dates to the mouth of baby.
